Aluminum saw blades are not recommended for cutting wood, they are specially designed for cutting aluminum.
Aluminum is harder than wood, but wood also has its own unique features for more wood fibers and strong toughness,so in order to cut these two different materials well, the designs of the saw blades are completely different. The parameters such as the shape ,angle and pitch of the saw teeth of an aluminum saw are optimized for the characteristics of aluminum. It is usually relatively hard and brittle. Therefore,a saw blade needs to have a higher hardness and sharpness to achieve fast and smooth cutting.
The texture of wood is relatively soft and has different grain and fiber structures.Cutting wood requires the saw teeth of the saw blade to better deal with the fiber direction of wood and avoid problems such as tearing and chipping on the edges of wood during the cutting process.
Using aluminum saw blades to cut wood may lead to poor cutting results.Since the saw teeth of aluminum saw blades are not suitable for cutting wood,it may cause uneven cuts in the wood, with situations such as burrs and tears, affecting the processing quality of wood.
While an aluminum saw blade is used to cut wood, the gaps between the saw teeth may be blocked by the wood fibers, resulting in poor heat dissipation of the saw blade and thus reducing the service life of the saw blade.
