一.When is sharpening required:
1. The sawing quality does not meet the requirements. If the surface of the product becomes burred or rough, it needs to be sharpened immediately.
2. When the alloy cutting edge wear reaches 0.2mm, it must be sharpened.
3. It takes a lot of effort to push the material and paste it.
4. Make abnormal noise.
5. The saw blade has teeth sticking, falling off, and chipping during cutting.
二. How to sharpen
1. The grinding is mainly based on grinding the back of the tooth, and grinding the front of the tooth. The tooth side will not be sharpened unless there are special requirements.
2. After sharpening, the conditions for the front and rear angles to remain unchanged are: the angle between the working surface of the grinding wheel and the front and rear tooth surfaces to be sharpened is equal to the grinding angle, and the distance moved by the grinding wheel must be equal to the grinding amount. Make the working surface of the grinding wheel parallel to the serrated surface to be ground, and then touch it lightly, and then make the working surface of the grinding wheel leave the tooth surface. At this time, adjust the working surface angle of the grinding wheel according to the sharpening angle, and finally make the working surface of the grinding wheel and the tooth surface touch.
3. The grinding depth is 0.01~0.05 mm during rough grinding; the feed speed is recommended to be 1~2 m/min.
4. Manually fine-grind the saw teeth. After the teeth have a small amount of wear and chipping and use a silicon chloride grinding wheel to grind the saw teeth, if they still need to be ground, you can use a hand grinder to fine-grind the saw teeth to make the teeth sharper. When fine grinding, use even force and keep the working surface of the grinding tool moving parallel when moving forward and backward. The amount of grinding should be consistent to ensure that all tooth tips are on the same plane.

四.Things to note
1. Before grinding, the resin, debris and other debris stuck on the saw blade must be removed.
2. When grinding, grinding should be carried out strictly according to the original geometric design angle of the saw blade to avoid damage to the tool caused by improper grinding. After grinding is completed, it must be inspected and passed before it can be put into use to avoid personal injury.
3. If manual sharpening equipment is used, a precise limit device is required, and the tooth surface and tooth top of the saw blade are inspected.
4. Special coolant must be used during grinding to lubricate and cool the tool during sharpening. Otherwise, the service life of the tool will be reduced or even cause internal cracks in the alloy tool head, resulting in dangerous use.
In short, the sharpening process of carbide saw blades is different from that of ordinary circular saw blades. When the grinding rate is high, the grinding heat is high, which not only causes cracks in the carbide, but also results in poor sharpening quality. Through reasonable grinding and use, the service life of the saw blade can be greatly extended (generally the number of regrinding times is about 30 times), better meet the requirements of the processing technology, effectively reduce processing and manufacturing costs, and improve production efficiency.
